The Moto G will not offer a single update for 2.5 months — which is expected to make it more than a month sooner — so the phone will only see the Android version of the software update.
The software update for Android Lollipop is expected to start in the second half of April, with updates from Motorola Mobility soon before that. It will also come free and open source in China, and it is not available for some users to download. For Android 4.3 and beyond, customers must already get a free trial with the Google Play Store.

Android 5.0 Lollipop: First Review with Droid
