Samsung Mobile Phones in Nigeria
As part of this effort to enhance its wireless coverage, Fido has launched a three-part mobile test-run that provides consumers with quick and inexpensive data to drive cellphones, tablets, TVs and other high-end phones, tablets and desktops. Fido also developed phones that enable users to use their high-capacity battery through special apps and software. A few of Fido’s early customers are already using the same technology for cellular operations such as wireless charging.
Fido’s new mobile test run comes five days after it launched its third iPhone, the iPhone 6 , which is being rolled out in Nigeria. But the success of these phones leaves a lot of room for other countries to expand their cellular coverage with Fido, which also includes cellular coverage in the U.-K., the U.S. and Canada. Nigeria’s current coverage agreement (known as the Mobile Bill of Rights) provides more in-app purchases, however small, that allow them to get data plans for a limited percentage of their monthly billing period. But even that small percentage doesn’t mean Fido can add any additional data charges if it wants to, and even that will cost a few million Nigerian naira ($40 per week), about $0.15 ($1.39 for a week), for the purposes of the mobile service that it is using.
According to the official mobile test program, mobile phone companies will apply for a five-year contract
